The Very Last Thing I Do Before Summer Starts

Every May I have a little ritual: de-pilling my sweaters before packing them away. It started in 2020 when I noticed my favorite knits looking a bit shabby but still full of potential for many seasons to come. I got myself a fabric shaver and got to work. Watching the pills disappear was oddly satisfying and definitely therapeutic. It’s the perfect sitting-on-the-couch-zoning-out-in-front-of-Vanderpump-Rules activity.

Once my sweaters and winter wear (I even do my coats!) are all de-pilled and looking fresh, I fold them and store them away. It’s a quick, satisfying task and my October self is so grateful.
