What I Wear When I Say "I Have Nothing to Wear"

It’s been awhile since I had to go to an office every single day, and I don’t miss having to figure out what to wear five days a week. But when I was standing in the shower running through my options (I could wear this…is that in the hamper? Oh do I still have those pants? It’s Thursday, if I wore what I wore on Monday would anyone notice?) I would always find myself going back to old faithful: my denim jacket. I’m hardly the first person to do this (florals, for Spring? Groundbreaking), but that’s because it’s a FOOL PROOF piece of clothing and works year round. Denim jackets are all about being super versatile, tough as nails, and never going out of style. You can throw one on whether you're keeping it chill or dressing up a bit, and it pretty much goes with everything you've got. They strike that sweet spot between being comfy and looking cool, making them the perfect pick for any time of year. Plus, they last forever and somehow manage to keep looking better with age, fitting right in with your unique vibe while being super practical.

Why I Love It (besides the price, duh):

The Merly Jacket is ABLE's very first denim jacket, and it's pretty much a must-have for any closet. They made it super soft right off the bat, so it feels like you've had it for years. In 2022, they tweaked it to fit even more body types, gave it a dropped shoulder and tightened up the arms for an all-around relaxed vibe. Sized XXS to 3X in four different washes, it's made with a mix of cotton and lyocell, so don't expect it to stretch, but do expect it to be super comfy. I used to only buy denim with stretch but this jacket changed my mind. Plus, it's made in Mexico and provides jobs and a living, fair wage to 550 women in their factories.
